Dave Schweitzer will be our presenter for our November 9 program. He is a well known highly skilled turner in the northwest.
Dave started turning in 1996 while still running a business. In 2000 he retired and now dedicates himself to turning and D-Way Tools.
He has an interesting philosophy to turning that can be applied to any type of woodworking.
His presentation will cover: lathes, tools, woods (green vs. dry), wood treatment and quality. He will demonstrate while making his presentation.

This is a 2 day show and the biggest one for us to date. Last weekend we made over 150 for camp patriot in one day we were very pleased with the turnout for us

To see how that works, and why it makes sense, please come and see Ron at our EWWG presentation on Monday, May 11, 2009. Doors open at 6:30 pm at the Edgewood Bible Church.

His Pen Pals group have been together for over one year now. The Pen Pals range from 67 to 89 years of age. They have made over 100 pens and letter openers. No power tools are used. Instead, a sanding block is used along with hand sanding  grits from 150 to 12,000.

The Woodturners of Olympia are sponsoring their second “Creativity in Woodturning” symposium. This is a world class seminar featuring some of the top woodturners. They are Eric Loftstrom and Jimmy Clewes. If you register early, it’ll save you $$$.
