This month’s presentation will outline the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding and the classes they have focused on woodworking associated with their craft. There are few areas more demanding than wooden boat building, so it will be interesting to see how this process works.
There will be samples of what is built during a typical first semester. Tours will be available to members who are interested.
Also linked is an announcement for their upcoming Sail-In Saturday, August 6th , at the School should any members wish to show up for the day.
Also included three pictures to show you the range of the 17 boats being built this year – a26 foot Forest Service boat being built in Traditional Large Craft, the 12 foot yawl being built in Traditional Small Craft, and the 62-foot sloop being built in Contemporary Composite Boatboating class.
Our doors open at 6:30 on July 11th at the Evergreen Bible Church on 1820 Meridian in Edgewood.
