NEW BUSINESS: 
1.       NEW MEMBERSHIP NAME TAGS:  The new cost of membership name tags is $6.50 each.  This issue was brought before the guild and asked for their recommendations.  Some suggestions were: A) charge new members $36.50 to cover the cost of the name tag with renewal fees to remain at $30.00, B) keep membership fees at $30.00 but give new members the option to purchase a name tag for $6.50 or not to purchase if they prefer, C) new membership fees to be $34.00 and the guild to pick up the remaining cost of the name tag $2.50.
2.       OLD SOLDIERS HOME is requesting donations of member’s old woodworking magazines, CD’s, videos, etc.  Members should bring these items to the January meeting. 
3.       WOOD, TOOLS, MAGAZINES for sale by Pat Lambert.  Her information and items she wants to sell are listed on the website.
4.       SEATTLE WOODWORKER’S GUILD – Ken Aitcheson will contact Jack Martin to coordinate a joint meeting. 
5.       HOLIDAY MEAL DONATIONS TO VETERANS – Last year the guild gave money to Anne Vukovich to purchase food gift certificates for veteran’s families.  She asked if the guild would like to do this again.  Anne asked for the guild’s permission to buy $350.00 worth of gift certificates. By a show of hands, a majority of the members present agreed that she should do this again.  
6.       MONTHLY RAFFLE COMMENT FORM – Ken Aitcheson passed around a sheet requesting member’s comments on how the monthly raffle is being run.
 OLD BUSINESS: 
1.        ANNUAL PICNIC:  Volunteer for the chairperson is still needed.

3.        WOODCRAFT CABINETS:  George Knutson will be coordinating between members of the guild and Woodcraft to build them some cabinets for their classroom.  Woodcraft will supply the material.  No discussion at December meeting. 
Library:   No report.
Membership:	108 paid members.   Renewal memberships are now due.
Mentorship:  Mentors are listed in the guild’s newsletter.
Newsletter:    	 No report.
Treasurer’s Report: 	$5,293.13
Special Meetings:  Chris Frye, of NW Woods, gave a presentation on the advantages and disadvantages of drying methods for wood and the different sawmills. JANUARY presenter is David Bye and he will be discussing general woodworking. 
 Super Raffle: 	George Knutson has volunteered to chair the Super Raffle this year.    
 Website: 	The website contains a link to a discussion bulletin board and a calendar of Puget Sound woodworking events.  All members should be encouraged to use these tools. 
ASK THE EXPERTS Q&A:   Anne Vukovich is looking for guidance on how to remount the wooden legs of an antique table without making any holes in the top of the table.  B) Mike Poirier is looking for dollhouse plans. C) Where can you find oak tape? At Western Builders or Plywood of Tacoma. 
SAFETY CORNER: 1)  When cutting down trees, tie the tree in place and WATCH for power lines.
