Now is the time to reserve your cabin and workshop space for the THIRD CARVING MAGAZINE Cruise. In the fall of 2007, 22 carvers went with 4 instructors to the Caribbean on Holland America Line. Then in fall 2008, the group was a little smaller but many repeated the experience with Donna Menke, author of the Ultimate Band Saw Boxes book and Mark Whillock, a relief carvers following in his Dad, Ivan Whillock’s footsteps. For the third cruise in January 2010, Donna Menke and Pam Gresham will instruct. The Holland America cruise from San Diego to the ports of Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas on the Mexican Riveria will be an enjoyable warm vacation during the winter months. The ship has 3 days at sea when workshops are scheduled for the carvers. In addition, the classroom will be available for free carve time.
