From Seattle Woodcraft,
Our Sixth Annual Turn for TROOPS event is this coming Saturday (11/8) at your Seattle Woodcraft store, beginning at 10 am. If you’ve been wanting to “learn to turn”, or if you wish to show your support for our brave troops overseas, stop by the store to turn a pen to be sent to our men and women in uniform. You can add your own note of support, and quite often, the recipients will write back to you. It’s a great event and we’ll have staff and volunteers on hand to help you turn the pen. Our volunteer coordinator this year is Jim Cotter – thanks, Jim! And, our honorary coordinator is John Swanson – John can’t be with us this year, but we are thinking of you, John. John coordinated this event for us the first four years, and we are most grateful for your time and talents, John!.
Another local event this weekend is the annual Northwest Carving Show at the Western WA Fairgrounds in Puyallup, on Saturday (11/8) and Sunday (11/9). As always, beautiful carvings will be on exhibit!
