Good News!! New Dungeness Light Station is one of 12 finalists in JELD-WEN’S HISTORIC RESTORATION INITIATIVE. Each year JELD-WEN, a major window and door manufacturer holds a contest among lighthouse groups to help them in their restoration efforts. The winning lighthouse will be given new windows and doors by JELD-WEN. As many of you know our Lighthouse (tower) building has a lot of windows and doors (33 windows and 5 external doors), many of them rotten and leaking.

Winning this contest would be fantastic. These new windows and doors would be custom made and would meet the historical criteria required to maintain our Historical Registration.
