SPRING MEETING SCHEDULE

Meeting Agenda:

We’d like to start at 9:00 AM if possible, as there is a lot to do in addition to the Auction. Several local Wood Turning Clubs have been invited, so there may be a bigger crowd than normal.

· Our annual Election of Officers has been postponed to the July meeting. More on this later.

· The Lesser Known Species Evaluation session has been postponed until our July meeting. More on this later.

· We will discuss an invitation from the Antiques Powerland Museum, in Brooks Oregon, to display and demonstrate at their Steam-Up on August 2 & 3, 2008. If you are interested in doing a demo or displaying your work, please discuss with Allan Schwindt.

· A lunch will be provided for those who get hungry. See registration form below.

Wood Auction:

· We will be auctioning a fair sized pile of Frank Lynn’s wood. A lot of Black Walnut and other various species.

· There will also be wood from the estate of Bill Krutz, a past member from Hood River OR.

· Members wishing to bring wood as they have done regularly for the Adna meeting are encouraged to do so.

Coming Meetings:

· Summer Meeting, July 19, 08 in Snohomish WA at Fred & Mildred Holder’s Shop. More on this later.

· Fall Meeting. This meeting will again be at the Davidson Ranch near Florence, A date is to be determined.

· A SW Regional IWCS meeting is scheduled for May 9 & 10 at Mendocino CA. There will be a tour of a Tree Farm and a Botanical Garden. For more information, contact Bill Tarleton at Btarl@comcast.net or call him at 925-939-8052.

Directions to the Campbell Ranch

Traveling North or South on I-5, take Exit #63 and drive West about 3 miles to the City of Winlock on Hwy. 505. Continue West across the railroad tracks in town to Hwy 603. Turn North on 603, (Winlock – Vader Rd.) and drive about 1 block to Fir St. Turn rt. on Fir for about 1 block, then take a diagonal to the right, which is King Rd. Follow King Rd. to the West for another 1.5 miles. You’ll see Jim’s Ranch is on the left.
